LETTER FROM THE SECRETARY GENERAL
Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
It is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you to the Shishukunj Model United Nations, 2022, as the Secretary-General of the conference. The seventh edition of the Shishukunj MUN will be held at The Shishukunj International School, Indore from August 20 to August 22, 2022.

The world is in a state of havoc. From pandemic recoveries to wars, the numerous threats that our world faces today demand informed action and recovery rooted in international collaboration. At the Shishukunj MUN, we aim to develop and foster young minds who are equipped to think differently and have the ability to transform the world they live in. The MUN gives them a glimpse into the intricacies of policymaking and introduces them to complex concepts such as diplomacy, negotiation, and consensus-building.

The theme for this year’s conference is CHANGE: Collaborative and Holistic Action for Global Ecosystems - an idea that emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach toward solving global issues and restructuring socio-political systems. In its seventh iteration, Shishukunj MUN brings to you 12 dynamic committees, each with an intriguing agenda pertinent not only to the present but also to historical conflicts and futuristic regulations.

Shishukunj MUN is also proud to adopt the UN4MUN rules of procedure, which provide the exact simulation of the United Nations. I, along with the entire Secretariat and Bureau, could not be more excited to continue the unparalleled level of excellence that the Shishukunj MUN has maintained and are sure that it shall be an exceptionally successful and memorable conference.

LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR GENERAL
Dear Delegates,
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the seventh iteration of the Shishukunj Model United Nations. Organizing the MUN as an offline conference after two distinctive years of virtual dealings, the Secretariat and the Bureau are all set to welcome you all and ensure an enriching experience for all students.
​
Having started my MUN journey as a member of the Logistics Team, I gradually climbed the ladder- from a delegate to a Chairperson to now the Director-General of the conference. As I enter my seventh year of MUNning, I have come to realize how instrumental MUNs have been in molding my persona today. They have helped me attain a multidimensional perspective of world politics, introduced me to various lessons of diplomacy, and above all helped me sow seeds that now let me engage in repartees and deliver harangues with utmost confidence.
Every student, irrespective of whether they are a member of the Media Team or the Logistics Team, or a delegate, will play a pivotal role in helping this MUN succeed. During the three days of the conference, the students will receive prolonged exposure to varied world issues that will immensely contribute to their outside-the-classroom learning.

As the theme of this conference suggests, collaborative and holistic action by every student as a global leader is the need of the hour. My team and I are resolute in ensuring a worthwhile experience for every student and making this MUN unforgettable. Hoping to see you at the conference!
